NYC Alumni Help Distribute 2,000 Coats to 300+ Local Nonprofits

On January 6, the NYC Alumni Chapter participated in the 16th Annual New York Cares Coat Drive by sorting 2,000 of the 70,000 coats collected by the organization this holiday season. These coats will be distributed to more than 300 nonprofit agencies, including homeless shelters and community organizations serving New Yorkers in need.

“This event is one of my favorite programs we have ever done. We had a great turnout of alumni who worked hard for 2 hours sorting coats for NYC's homeless.
The event was both fun and rewarding,” says Krissy Goelz, New York Alumni Chapter leader.

The NYC Alumni Chapter has a strong relationship with New York Cares, a nonprofit organization in Manhattan. This spring the NYC Alumni Chapter plans to team up with them for their annual Spring Clean-Up Day.
