January 2007

Happy New Year! The holidays are over, and Washington seems to have settled in for a long winter’s nap. On campus, however, the students have already begun to return; classes resume next week.

The new semester promises to be an exciting time for alumni, too. The Alumni Board will be kicking off a series of activities designed to foster greater alumni involvement in Washington and around the globe. Whether you want to be part of the “Blue Crew” and help cheer on the Eagles Basketball team to victory, or be part of our “Alumni University” that brings alumni back to campus as guest lecturers in a variety of classes, we need your help.

It’s not too early to start thinking about your 2007 gift to AU, either. We’re undertaking an effort to get a record number of alumni to join us this October for the President’s Circle Dinner, during Alumni Weekend. A gift of $1,000 (before April 30) gets you an invitation to this phenomenal event.

I hope you’ll take the time to come back and visit campus. It’s a beautiful school in every season, and it’s worth the trip to see how AU is growing and thriving. You’ll be more proud than ever to be an Eagle.

Sincerely,

Brian F. Keane, SPA/BA '89
