It’s no secret that AU graduates, who have already made the successful leap from university to the workplace, serve a vital role for students and peers who benefit from the helpful advice fellow Eagles can provide. If you’re one of the 1,187 alumni who have previously signed up to serve as a career mentor through the Career Center and the AU's old online community, thank you! Not even a year since Alumni Programs launched its new inCircle Online Community last August, more than 4,600 alumni have become members, trading messages, sharing photos, blogging, networking, and taking part in interest groups on this virtual AU alumni campus. There's just one problem. The "flag" in the old online alumni directory that indicated someone was willing to be a career mentor could not be carried over from the old system to to the new inCircle community. We need your help to fix that. Whether you used to be identified as a career mentor in your online community alumni profile, or you're ready to become one now, we hereby cordially invite you to designate yourself as an online career mentor by following these steps:
Whether you choose to speak to a student informally regarding career advice, volunteer to be a guest instructor, or simply network with other alumni to help ensure fellow AU graduates are in the right position for better jobs, your support will be felt and appreciated.
