“Faculty on the Road” Lecture Series to Launch in NYC With George W. Bush constitutionally limited to two terms, and Vice President Dick Cheney making it clear he will not run, the 2008 presidential race for the White House is wide open for the first time since 1928. The 2008 campaign has been under way since 2006, the first debates have already been held, and in a few short months voters in dozens of states will decide who the nominees of the major parties will be. Join us for an informative and lively conversation led by one of AU’s favorite professors, Leonard Steinhorn, about the upcoming campaign, the candidates, the issues, prospects, and strategies. We invite you to share your thoughts on the upcoming election. Ample time will be devoted to audience questions. Business casual attire. $15 to attend. Hors d’oeuvres, beer, and wine will be served. Please RSVP online by COB on Tuesday, November 13. For additional information, please contact Ema Gantcheva at 202-885-5933. |
