Dr Seuss Day: Monday - March 30, 2009
Help celebrate Dr. Seuss’ Birthday while promoting literacy!
About Dr. Seuss Day
Dr. Seuss Day is a birthday celebration of the famous author. Join the Community
Service Center and Read Across America in celebrating Dr. Seuss' Birthday!
Volunteer to read and play literacy games with young children!
Dr. Seuss Day festivities represent more than just the celebration of a century of literary achievements by one of America's most beloved authors; the use of rhyming patterns make his books an effective tool for teaching young children the basic skills they need to be life-long readers. More importantly, literacy is a fundamental tool that helps ensure students reach their highest potential and develop into well-rounded leaders of tomorrow.
