About Us Academic Programs Leadership Programs Events Internships
__Our location in Washington, D.C. places the Women & Politics Institute at the epicenter of efforts to enhance the advancement of women and politics and of policy issues of concern to women. Students involved with our Institute also are presented with outstanding opportunities to gain valuable hands-on experience through internships. This enables students to integrate the classroom seminar experience with the policy process as they observe it - and participate in it - on site.

__Summer interns for the Women & Politics Institute participate in a program facilitated by the National Council of Women's Organizations (NCWO) that provides training to assist the new generation of women with effective advocacy and leadership skills. The program has included interns from many of the Council's member organizations and allowed these women to enrich their internship experience through greater exposure to the Washington, DC community. The program concludes with a lobbying day on Capitol Hill. To learn more about the Women & Politics Institute's Internship opportunities this summer visit the link below.
