Internship Program in Top 100

Past Interns

The Feminist Majority internship is one of the top 100 internships in the country, according to the Princeton Review's America's Top 100 Internships.

The Feminist Majority and Feminist Majority Foundation seek highly motivated college, graduate, and professional school students who aspire to become leaders in the feminist movement to serve as interns in our Washington, DC and Los Angeles offices. In our internship program, interns are afforded a unique opportunity to combine research and action while working at the national level for women's rights.

Full-time internships, which run for a minimum of two months, are available all year round. We prefer that interns work 35-40 hours/week. From September through May, a stipend of $70/week is offered. In exchange, interns are expected to do up to 10 hours/week of clerical work. During the summer months (June-August) no stipends are offered, but there is some opportunity to earn pocket money by doing clerical work as needed.

ABOUT THE FEMINIST MAJORITY

Spearheaded by Eleanor Smeal, former president of the National Organization for Women (NOW), the Feminist Majority and the Feminist Majority Foundation are non-profit research and advocacy organizations dedicated to promoting equality for women.

The Feminist Majority leads action campaigns to inspire women to take power in all sectors of society. Feminist Majority organizers also track legislative issues of concern to women, and speak out to the government on behalf of women's rights.

The Feminist Majority Foundation, a feminist think tank, develops creative long-term strategies and permanent solutions for the pervasive social, political, and economic obstacles facing women. Through educational and research projects, the Foundation seeks to transform the public debate on issues of importance to women's lives.
