Women as Leaders Program

__The Women as Leadership April 2003 Program brought together a group of young women between the ages of 21 and 30 to Washington DC for political leadership skills training. This program included lectures on the history of US women and politics, discussions of women and public policy, visits to EMILY's List and WISH List, and attendance at a congressional hearing discussing the future of Title IX. Participants traveled to Annapolis to meet with Governor, Robert Ehrlich and David Paulson of the Maryland State Democratic Party. The program was highlighted by a shadow day where the young women were paired with young women working in politics in Washington for a day to learn and experience working in the Nation's Capitol.
