In this course students assess if the Internet is a properly utilized tool in the political world and examine larger questions about the development of technology, its impact on our daily lives, the history and evolution of the Internet, and the various ways in which the Internet has embedded itself into the political landscape. The course also looks at the impact of the Internet on the media and its usefulness in polling and reaching constituents as a two-way medium. The distance learning format of this course enriches the experience of understanding the practice and theory of Internet research. Meets with GOVT-696 N01L.
