The online version of the course explores the role international organizations play in the contemporary global, political and economic system, the ways in which they influence or contribute to major international policy issues, and the factors shaping their performance in a number of important issue areas. The course examines the historical development, activities, and performance of specific major international organizations in the areas of economic development, security, international trade, the environment, international law and humanitarian assistance. Meets with SIS-625 N01L.
