This policy research course examines the governance structures of international communication reflected in the growing and complex body of national and international policies, regulations, and laws. The course provides a graduate-level survey of major contemporary developments in international communication policies in comparative perspective, including: telecommunications & broadband policy; regulation and law; intellectual property rights; internet policy; cultural and content policy; audio-visual, film and broadcast media policy,etc. including constitutional rights of freedom of expression, internet and media censorship.
