




The origins of Latin American music are deeply rooted in cultural traditions. Many traditional songs reflect folklore, myths, superstitions, and dances. Tangos and waltzes are a few such musical traditions.
The more recent music of Latin America has reflected traditional music, but has also incorporated other musical traditions of other countries.

Selena was one of the fastest rising "Tejano superstars" about to make her crossover debut into American music stardome when her life was cut short by an ex-employee.
