China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite
China and Brazil agreed in 1988 to a cooperative program to develop two remote sensing satellites. This joint China-Brazil Earth Resources Satellite (CBERS) Program pools the technical skills and financial resources of the two countries to establish a complete remote sensing system.
