NSLC AU College Credit Program Alumni

If you are a former NSLC student who took an AU Credit course with your NSLC program and would like to receive an official American University Transcript of your grade, please follow these instructions:

Note: Your transcript cannot be sent to you via the internet or faxed. It must be mailed and will take 3-5 business days.

1. Download, print, and fill out this transcript request form [pdf]. Be sure to include the following information. We cannot complete your request without it!

• Your full name
• Your AU ID #.
  If you no longer remember your AU ID, you MUST write your social security number in place and indicate that it is your social security number and not your AU ID number.
• In the box marked "To" indicate the address to which you want the transcript sent.
  This can be your own address, or it can be the address of a school or program to which you are sending an application.
• Your current address
• Be sure to sign the form

2. Submit the form to the American University Office of the Registrar. You have two options.

• Fax your transcript request to: Transcripts -- (202) 885-1046
• or
• Mail the completed transcript request form to:

3. If you have any difficulties, please contact us at collegecredit@american.edu AFTER you have submitted your form and followed the instructions above. Please include the following in all communications:

Full name
AU ID # (if you remember it)
Year Course was taken
Name and location of Course (i.e. AU, Fordham, UMD)
Name of the professor who taught your course
Your full contact information including address and phone number

Confidentiality of Student Records

All student education records are considered confidential and ordinarily may not be released without written consent of the student. This policy complies with FERPA (the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974). For more information on AU's FERPA policy, click here.

You will not be able to receive any information pertaining to educational records over the phone or by e-mail. AU will not disclose student record information to third parties including parents.
