The Community of Scholars program offers specially designed three-credit courses to advanced students seeking to enrich their studies with college-level material. Students in this program will study with an AU professor in a personalized, stimulating, and challenging educational environment. Participants will also work in small groups with student mentors to assist with research skills necessary for success in college life. These courses will help prepare you for the performance expectations at institutions of higher education. College credit from American University will also add value to your college applications and résumé and may be transferable to other accredited colleges and universities.

The School of International Service at American University is committed to a broad and interdisciplinary approach to the study of international relations that values public service, environmental stewardship, human rights, and social issues. Our curriculum emphasizes the operative word in the school's name: Service.

I look forward to seeing you on campus and in class this summer.
