One adaptive technology workstation is available in the Hurst Social Science Research Lab. Workstation include the following software:

• Faculty may purchase copies of SAS, SPSS and SYSTAT.
• Undergraduate students enrolled in a statistics course or graduate students doing research may purchase SAS 8 and S-Plus. The number of licenses available is limited, particularly for S-Plus.

American University is a member institute in the Inter-University Consortium for Political and Social Research (ICPSR) at the University of Michigan. ICPSR gathers, maintains and disburses a large number of data sets to users interested in Social Science research. These data are available to the entire university community for research purposes.

To order ICPSR data, please contact the SSRL or place an online request. For individual assistance with the use of ICPSR data and research methodology, please make an appointment with one of the SSRL staff members.

SSRL has created a database of links to information / data on selected international issues.

The purpose of this resource is to share the web links to those sites where you can get all necessary materials for web-building. The main idea is to share the links with each other, thus you do not only utilize this site as a path to new sites, but also PROVIDE URLs to this site to share with other users. In short, give and take is the main philosophy of this site. This site also provides a list of useful language translation websites.
