The Social Science Research Lab has produced documentation on the basics of SAS (version 6.12 or 8.0) as well as SAS Insight, a function within SAS that allows the user to input data in a spreadsheet format.

In addition, the SAS Institute has prepared basic documentation as an introduction to SAS, which is available online at no charge to users.

Due to the varying needs of users, all capabilities of this application is not covered in these documents. These documents are only introductory in nature. Advanced questions may be addressed to the Social Science Research Lab.
