The American University undergraduate yearbook was first published in 1926. It was then called the AUCOLA, which stands for the American University College of Liberal Arts. In 1956 the name was changed to Talon. 2009 marks the 83rd edition of the Talon. It has tripled in size from 1956 to accomodate the growth in population at the university; it includes news stories and photos to depict the students, events, academics, trends and world events of the year.
