Judson Berkey

Judson Berkey serves as Director in the Group Operational Risk function at the Swiss bank UBS in Zurich, Switzerland. In his spare time, he is publisher of GeographicIndications.com, an online information resource on GI's.

A graduate of Harvard Law School, Mr. Berkey's studies focused on WTO, European Union, and international economic law. Since then, he has worked in private practice on international law and trade issues, and also at the Institute of International Finance, a Washington DC-based global association that represents the financial industry in international regulatory discussions.

Mr. Berkey also holds degrees in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Virginia.

In December 2003, Mr. Berkey sat down with Dr. James Lee, founder of the GIANT Project, and Dr. John Doolittle, a professor in the American University School of Communications.
