Outstanding Scholarship at the Undergraduate Level

(Two recipients named)

CRITERIA: Student must have been admitted to a degree program as of September 2008. Requires sustained demonstration of exceptional academic success, as evidenced by the academic record and by outstanding scholarly contributions at AU or beyond, including such forms as publications, research, creative work, and competitive selection for participation in academic societies or conferences.

NOMINATION PROCESS:

1.  Students, faculty, and staff of the AU community may nominate students for University Student Awards.

2.  Nominations must be submitted to the nominee’s school/college dean (or for the Service award nominations may also be submitted to the Dean of Students) by Friday, March 20 .

3.  Nominators must provide 2 copies of nomination materials in their submissions.

4.  Before completing the nomination, please review the criteria and submission process for each award. Information about the University Awards is also available on the Web at www.american.edu/universityawards.
